What We Did
Branding, web design and development
Low Fell Gate is a caravan and lodge site on the outskirts of Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. Enjoying stunning bay views, they’ve diversified their offering over the years. Their focus is on bespoke lodges and static caravans.
The client’s old site was focused on an outdated offering, and we felt it wasn’t really selling the experience or location to its full potential.
Brand Refresh
They had a logo that they were fairly tied to, so we undertook a subtle refresh to bring it in line with our vision for where we wanted to push the brand identity. We also developed and expanded the hand drawn dandelion seed element of the existing brand, using this to create a sense of nature. We would use this as a thematic tool across the site.
Wordpress Development & UI Design
The site was developed bespoke in WordPress using the standard functionality, without the use of plugins, off the shelf themes or templates. We wanted to create a strong sense of brand and create a user experience that honoured the location and the offering of the client’s business.
We introduced a series of subtle and engaging UI animations, along with a stunning embedded drone video of the location.
Photography, Video and Copywriting
On the media front, we used photographer Lee John Mann for all internal and external shots of the lodges, caravans and contextual shots around the site. We also used a videographer, HDDN media, for the drone footage; incorporating photography and a number of short moving clips for the client to use on the website and social media.
Text from the existing site was copy edited in house and placed around the new site structure, along with the new media assets.
