The brief
L'Enfant Gallery is a Georgetown house of art and antiques, at 1442 Wisconsin Avenue. They approached MUV to assist with developing a digital strategy and major rebrand, bringing their collections online, and building processes to aid with the presentation and marketing of their works.
The brand
Justice to the Work
The wordmark, the rules, the quiet field. It had to sit over a fifty-dollar trinket and a multi-million dollar painting, and still be the same house. Blue, burgundy and gold carry the theme. The line on it is the brand in one breath: Will you join the dance?
The rooms
An Exceptional Space for Exceptional Works
The pictures on the homepage are the rooms themselves.
An incredible collection, hung floor to ceiling, not staged in a studio.
This is the gallery as you would find it if you walked in today, the walls lined with works by world-renowned artists.
These aren’t just pictures; they’re a reflection of the experience of standing in an incredible space, in front of something truly extraordinary.
The site
Designed and Built for the Exceptional
Website design and development for a gallery that also sells. The Canova, attributed, under the chandeliers, and the fifty-dollar object, on the same site. Beside the images, collectors see the details that matter most to them: the description of the piece, artist, signature and framing status, and provenance. The clean, considered design is the backdrop, with each item the focus, centre stage.
The month
The Exhibitions. The Openings. The Events.
Each month, we showcase sought-after works, launch highly anticipated exhibitions, and host unique events that bring painters, dancers, photographers, and performers into our collaborative cultural space. We also curate hundreds of catalogue entries monthly, representing some of the most significant pieces available on the open market to private collectors.
Outcome
The outcome is a clean, modern website that lets every piece shine, paired with monthly marketing that positions the gallery as a significant American house in the eyes of visitors and collectors alike.
